Book Review: The Diviners by Libba Bray
This book took me a little while to get into but I became invested in the plot, I was eager to know more. It was a story I didn’t expect to love but did.

Book Review: The Boy Who Live In The Ceiling by Cara Thurlbourn
This book! I absolutely loved this novel. It is a story about love, loss and the effects it has on people. When I first started the novel I wasn’t sure how the concept would work, but Cara skilfully created a novel where the events seem believable.

Book Review: We by Yevgeny Zamyatin
When I was studying my masters, another student recommended We to me and I finally got around to reading it. This classic novel was published in Russia in 1924 and has been described as the influencing 1984, Brave New World and others. This book was so controversial for its time, that Zamyatin couldn’t publish it in Russia under Stalin’s rule.

My boyfriend loves The Witcher games, and so I thought it would be nice to buy him the books that inspired the games. Then I decided to join him in reading them.

Book Review: The Elements of the Crown by Kay L Moody
Talise comes from the Storm, a part of this land where criminals and their families live in poverty. This fantasy novel takes us on a journey with Talise through the academy to become the Master Shaper and escape from the storm. The plot moves along at a good pace, and each chapter ends with you wanting to read more.
