    Travel: Ireland

On Saturday 29th June 2019, it was time to take our annual family holiday (my boyfriend's family and me). This year we ventured to Ireland. We stayed in a lovely house in Lough Gowna. The plan was to do as much as we could in a week.

    I Am A Graduate

I've done it guys. I have finished my degree. I am so pleased that I can officially say that I have achieved a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Creative Writing. Sheffield Hallam has a wonderful diverse community and I have loved every minute of my time there.

    Crash Landing

The mountain rose three hundred feet high. At its peak, the weather was strong and hostile. Only those indigenous to the region could reach its top without much fear. Those who did were normally animals – sheep, goats, and migrating birds, which make the mountain their makeshift home.

    The Guardian

I watch as Elizabeth distributes soup to the homeless. She moves so elegantly it’s almost poetic. I have been coming here for a few weeks. I’m not homeless. I just come to watch her. She is a petite woman, barely five foot, with soft blonde hair swept back into a loose ponytail, framing her bright blue eyes. She always has a smile on her face, a broad toothy one. Her warm smile is wasted on those street urchins. She is always volunteering at the church, at the homeless shelter, anywhere she can. She is such a kind and gentle soul and that’s why I have to be here with her.

    The Cellar

I was already in the cellar when it began. I was playing with my marbles avoiding Betty. She was only six years old and I wanted a little brother, not a little sister. So I hid down there; she didn’t like to go down there. It scared her. She used to think that there were monsters in the cellar. She only thought that because that’s what I’d told her. Don’t look at me like that, I just didn’t want my little sister to invade my space.

    Purple Seven

Anna approached the Town Hall, dragging her feet. The hall was an ostentatious building that dominated the town square. It was usually empty but today it was littered with a crowd of nervous young adults standing silently in front of the marbled steps of the building. Anna rubbed her gloved hands together and swallowed down the lump in her throat. With a heavy heart, she joined the crowd. Today. Today was the day that will change her life forever. A purple number seven. Somewhere in this mob was someone with the matching coloured number. That person is her life-partner.

    Flight

We had to write a portfolio of poetry for my university degree. This is one that I wrote about travelling through the sky.
