Physical Books:
The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11 by Garrett M Graff ★★★★★
Midnight in Everwood by M.A. Kuzniar ★★★★★
Eleanora by Edgar Allen Poe ★★★★★
Smoke by Dan Vyleta ★★★
My favourite this month was Midnight in Everwood by M.A. Kuzniar. I’ll be honest and say I wasn’t expecting to love this story as much as I did. It was a pleasure to read and I’m happy that I picked this up. This was exactly the story I wanted to get lost in and I was not disappointed.
My least favourite this month was Smoke by Dan Vyleta. It was an interesting premise, and that kept me reading but ultimately it fell a little short of the mark. I found the shifting narrative confusing at times and it pulled me out of the story. It does have a sequel called Soot but I’m not sure if I’ll pick it up.
