My Review:
I read this manga a long time ago when I was in secondary school, I never realised that I hadn’t finished it until I picked it up again this month.
This manga takes place at a boarding school, which is divided into two groups: Day Class and Night Class. Zero and Yuuki are the school guardians, protecting the identities of the Night Class, and their secret: that they are all vampires.
Kaname Kuran is the leader of the Night Class, a Pureblood vampire, and Yuuki Cross is the daughter of the headmaster and has been in love with Kaname since he saved her from a vicious vampire when she was a child. Zero is a vampire hunter who is also a vampire. He is tormented by the fact that he needs blood to survive.
This story does include a love triangle between Yuuki, Zero and Kaname and I am firmly on Team Zero, I found him a much more interesting character and felt that he didn’t see Yuuki as a little girl who needs saving.
I didn’t expect to still enjoy this series, but the story contains plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested. The plot is excellent and the artwork in the novel is amazing.
