2020 Wrap Up

September 2020 Wrap Up

This month I read a lot of manga, I read the entirety of Vampire Knight and started Fruits Basket. Both of which I read when I was younger but wanted to revisit. With all the manga I read this month, I read a total of 36 books.

E-Books:

Loveless by Alice Oseman ★★★★
Vampire Knight Volumes 1-19 by Matsuri Hino ★★★★
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson ★★★
Find Layla by Meg Elison ★★★★
Gyo by Junji Ito ★★★★★
Fruits Basket Volumes 1-8 by Natsuki Takaya ★★★★

Physical Books:

The Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare ★★★★★
One of Us Is Lying by Karen M McManus ★★★★
One of Us is Next by Karen M McManus ★★★★
The Library of the Unwritten by A.J. Hackwith ★★★★★
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath ★★★

My favourite this month was The Library of the Unwritten by A.J. Hackwith. Where do I begin with this book, it was written absolutely beautifully. I plan to write a full review for this soon, but I loved every single bit of this story. I need the sequel now.

My least favourite this month was The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. Don’t get me wrong it was a well-written novel. The fact is I didn’t have a book this month that I disliked. My main reason for picking Plath’s novel is that now I’ve read it it’s not something that I would pick up again.

Stats:

Goodreads Goal: 126/100. I am 52 books ahead of schedule.

I’ve read 8,456 pages this month. My average rating was 3.8.

I have read 3 contemporary, 28 manga, 2 fantasy, 2 mystery and 1 classic.

Do you read manga? What do you suggest I read next?
